Let your mind be stimulated and your heart touched by a thought for the day that will enrich your personal walk with the Lord and your ministry effectiveness. Below you will find one of the many ministry tools available to the Global Covenant Partner.

And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith (Luke 17:4,5).

We are called to forgive others because God has forgiven us. “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you” (Eph. 4:32). We are called to forgive without limit. Jesus forgives us no matter what we have done and no matter how many times we have asked forgiveness from Him. It is no wonder when faced with such a task, the disciples cry out: “Increase our faith.” When faced with the necessity to forgive as God forgives, we begin to feel that we need much more of God’s power than we presently experience.

We are inadequate to fulfill the command of the Lord in our own strength or power. We do not need more faith as the disciples asked. We must use the faith we have. Jesus said that if we have even the smallest “mustard seed” amount of faith, we could move mountains (Matt. 17:20). God always will give us tasks that are greater than our present ability to do them. If we obey and take the first step in faith, then God will enable us to fulfill His will.

To forgive means that you continue to show Christian love to those who do wrong against you. Forgiveness is not a denial of circumstances. It is an act of the will to not hold any type of grudge or resentment towards another person, and to refuse to count or consider what they have done against you. Forgiveness does not mean that you agree with their actions or submit yourself to abuse. Forgiveness means that you are following Christ. You are doing the same thing as He does, and in reality, He is forgiving them through you. Let Christ forgive through you today.
